Sterling silver, just like all silver, can change color over time. To keep it looking its best, store it in the pouch or box provided to avoid friction, and seal the jewelry on the plastic ziploc provided when not in use. This helps to prevent it from changing color too quickly as Sterling silver oxidizes quicker in open air. Your jewelry is splash proof but not sweat proof and avoiding lotions or cream will add to it’s longevity.
Sterling Silver is 92.5% Pure silver by weight, and is mixed with 7.5% other Metals, usually copper to increase it’s strength and durability. To clean, use the cloth provided and gently wipe after 8 to 10 days of prolonged use to avoid having to polish at shorter intervals.
Sterling silver can oxidize over time, so we're including a white polishing cloth along with the standard black cleaning cloth with your purchase. The white polishing cloth should only be used after the plating begins to fade and the silver starts to show underneath. Please avoid using the polishing cloth on plated jewelry, as it will polish away the plating.
Using the polishing cloth is as simple as using the cleaning cloth. Just wipe your jewelry gently in circular motions. These cloths contain chemicals that help remove tarnish, also minor scratches and keep your jewelry looking its best.
